The M.Sc. programme in Biology shall last for twelve calendar months, and it is open to candidates with any of the following:
(1) A Bachelor’s degree with honours or the equivalent of this or any approved University in Biology, Biology Education, Botany, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Zoology, and Marine Biology with not lower than a Second Class Lower Division (2:2).
(2) A candidate with a degree in Medicine, and other related areas such as Anatomy and Physiology can also apply.
(3) A PGD degree of the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics with a minimum of 3.00CGPA can apply, provided such candidates have a honours degree in relatedScience courses.
(4) notwithstanding the possession of 1, 2 or 3 above, a candidate may be required to satisfy a selection process in the form of written or/and oral interview or examination.
