Conditions of Tenancy

  1. Cooking shall not be done in the rooms allocated to students but in designated area(s).
  2. Squatting is illegal
  3. Visiting period shall be between the hours of 8.00am and 8.00pm.
  4. Any student who wishes to have a visitor stay with him/her for more than 24 hours should obtain a written permission from the Hall Master.
  5. All visitors/guests shall be received in the Common Room.
  6. Clothes and/or dresses shall not be spread on the balconies or corridors except places designated for the purpose.
  7. Smoking or taking of alcohol in the Hostel is prohibited.
  8. Keeping of valuables such as large sums of money, trinkets and jewelleries, etc in the room is not allowed.  They should be lodged in the bank.
  9. Students shall abide by the rules guiding  the locking and opening of gates to the Hostel:
  10. Hall gate is open between the hours of 6 am and 12 midnights except during emergency.
  11. Heavy equipment such as air conditioners are not allowed in the room.
  12. Use of the hostel in such a way as to constitute nuisance to others is an offence.
  13. Students in the hostel are to subject themselves to security checks both at the gates and in the rooms at any time by designated authorities.
  14. Students are to carry about their Hostel I.D Cards at all times for proper identification by Security men/Porters.
  15. Bed spaces allocated are not transferable.  Selling of spaces/Rooms leads to automatic ejection.
  16. Fighting in the hall of residence/assault is an offence punishable by expulsion.
  17. All forms of trading are not allowed within the hostel except in designated places.
  18. Defacing of the hall or rooms with any form of posters or wall paper and handbills is not allowed.
  19. Occupants shall vacate their bed space/room at the end of every session and re-apply for renewal of bed space/room.
  20. Violation of any of the above shall be referred to Students Disciplinary Committee for appropriate sanctions.
